Our task is to create optimal conditions for learning and accompanying students in achieving results, not a control function. Let the control be carried out by different test systems. 5. A unified table is created in which subject teachers enter data on students who have difficulty completing assignments. 6. A general decision is made on the number of webinars for children in subjects (we recommend no more than three online classes per day), and a schedule is drawn up with access links (entrance to digital “rooms”) for children and parents. 7. Clear instructions for teachers, students and parents on the organization of distance learning are registered and sent out. 8. A limited set of services is used – preferably with one username and password. Having decided on the rules, we make a decision on the choice of a distance learning platform.
If your school does not yet have a single platform and you are wondering where to stop, we offer affordable, easy-to-learn and free options: 1. “Quick Start” (Google Сlassroоm). 2. With an eye to the future (GSuite educational resource, Microsoft Office 365).
Let’s consider the first option. “Quick start” on Google Classroоm. It will take one week to launch. If the school has decided to use this platform, then it is necessary to take the following steps: 1. Create an account on google.com for teachers and students (students can create accounts themselves according to the instructions). 2. Create a general table for all classes with the accounts of children and teachers (for which access is needed). 3. Train teachers to work on the platform. 4. Create a course, invite children, post content and assignments. 5. Conduct an installation webinar for children and parents on working on the platform and basic settings. 6. Prepare and distribute instructions for students, parents, teachers. 7. Start working.
The second option “With an eye to the future” (GSuite educational resource or Microsoft Office 365): it will take about two weeks to complete. Also, teachers and students will need additional time to enter all accounts. What gives the school the second option: • a single document flow; • all mail in one place, it is convenient to interact; • easy to create joint documents and work with them; • no need to create additional accounts: everything is already there, and everything is in one place; • many different additional services, for example, mind maps, presentations, tables, calendars, google meet (web conferencing with recording – only for their own), etc. In Microsoft Office 365 – everything is the same, only a platform for distant (for collecting and distributing assignments, conferencing, and more) is called Teams. All of these options are also included in the basic educational package. Having made a decision on the platform, registering everyone and teaching them how to work in a new environment, we proceed to filling the distance learning system.
Regardless of the platform, we recommend doing simple tasks first (for example, reviewing the material covered) so that children get comfortable on the platform and get used to receiving and sending tasks. The goal of this stage is to learn how to work on the platform.
While the students are mastering the platform and completing the assignments, the teachers move on and develop distance learning. I would like to note that distance learning is not a good old approach “read paragraph No., the page numbers in the textbook are such and such, solve five numbers, send photos with solutions to e-mail”. This is a complete lesson with teacher-student interaction. Sample structure of a distance lesson • Motivation block: Greet the students and explain why we are studying this material and what we will learn by the end of the session. • Instructional block (clear instructions): write down instructions – clear and without water: in which environment the student should complete the task (attachment, link, notebook, interactive exercise) and in what form should present it to the teacher. • Information block: Introduce new learning material or interactive activities in which the child learns and masters the topic. This block may contain, for example, video tutorials prepared by you personally or taken from various resources on the Internet (“Infourok”, interneturok, “Yandex.Textbook”, “Foxford”, “Rosuchebnik”, Math01, etc.), as well as interactive tasks, polls, tests with automatic verification, tasks from various sources. • Feedback block: not necessarily a test, you can offer students self-assessment according to certain criteria, receive comments from them on the tasks in the chat, which can be used to draw a conclusion about the degree of mastering the material. If the child has difficulties, create an opportunity for him to quickly contact the teacher and finalize the material. • Communication and advisory blocks: create an environment in which the child can ask you what he does not understand, get support and advice. You must have online tools to motivate students to study remotely. This allows you to do this in Google’s Classroom.
To get acquainted with this environment and immediately test the instruments in practice, we invite you to watch the recording of our master class “Distant. Where to begin?” and be first in the role of a student, and then a teacher.
These are the very first steps towards organizing a distance learning system, and then you need to think about how to provide effective feedback and organize group work in distance learning, how to conduct webinars for children.
We present the rules of distance learning for students in grades 5-11 1. Only the following platforms are used for distance learning: • https://classroom.google – for grades 5-6, 8-11; • Empower – for 7th grade; • Stepik – for informatics teachers. 2. Online lessons using Zoom, YouTube, Google Meet may be conducted. 3. Distance lessons begin at 9:00 in accordance with the schedule published in the electronic journal. The duration of the lesson is 30 minutes. 4. Completed work must be handed over before 16:00 on the day when the lesson is in the schedule. 5. It is necessary to inform the class teacher and teacher about the impossibility of completing the 123helpme.me task on time (illness, technical problems) in any way (e-mail, WhatsApp, classroom). 6. By the next lesson, the student should receive a comment from the teacher on the work done. 7. At the end of the lesson, the student can be given a positive mark in the journal (four or five). Exposing a two for failure or incorrect performance of the task is unacceptable. 8. Failure to complete the assignment is recorded by the teacher in the table “Monitoring of distance learning”. Based on this information, the class teacher informs the parents. 9. If the teacher taught the lesson online, then there may be homework that should be completed by the next lesson. It is also possible to carry out independent work. 10. If the student mastered the material on his own, then homework is not assigned. 11. If a child has questions about mastering the material, then he has the opportunity at least once a week to receive an online consultation from a teacher through Google Meet, Zoom. The teacher informs about the date and time of its holding through the classroom.
Deputy Minister of Education of the Russian Federation
At present, in order to implement the adopted federal laws, the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have updated the composition of interdepartmental commissions on the organization of recreation and health improvement for children, approved the regulations for their activities and brought regional normative legal acts into compliance.
Organizations for the recreation of children and their rehabilitation are institutions of seasonal or year-round operation, stationary and (or) non-stationary type, with round-the-clock or day-time stays, providing services for organizing the recreation and health improvement of children. According to federal legislation, all of them are obliged to provide information on their activities to the authorized executive body of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation for inclusion in the register of children’s recreation and recreation organizations. These data are posted on the official websites of regional executive authorities.
From June 1 of this year, organizations not included in the register are not eligible to provide services. In case of violations, administrative liability is provided in the form of a fine from five hundred thousand to one million rubles.
I draw the attention of parents and legal representatives to the fact that before sending a child on vacation, you must make sure that the camp is included in the register of organizations for children’s recreation and their recovery.
